..........Darwin’s has built a loyal following in Cambridge, and from the first bite, it’s easy to taste why. It’s all about the sandwiches. These toothsome bread contraptions house tender meats and cheeses with piquant and tangy spreads like horseradish mayonnaise and basil tomato. This ain’t Miracle Whip, baby.

.....The staff is extrememly helpful in prodding along the quandaried customer, suggesting the appropriate goodies to suit any palate. This tangled assortment of humanity is unusually good-looking and unusually friendly, especially for Cambridge, 02138, which is, as the sign next to the door announces, “The Most Opinionated Zip Code in America."
