What many people don't know is that Darwin's is co-owned by a Cambridge couple whose last name is indeed, Darwin. (And yes, Steve is a descendent of Charles Darwin's cousin.) The name being English of course, they chose to add the English suffix of business-incorporation which is, Ltd. instead of Inc. Hence the name, Darwin's Ltd. In 2005, the Mid-Cambridge Neighborhood Association did not want another Dunkin' Donuts in their midst and that's when they requested a Darwin's #2. It was in the right location at the right time, 12 years later.
It was then that Steven & Isabel opened the second incarnation of their unique brand, serving an equally discerning clientele. We thank-you, Cambridge Community.
